The FRWD@Bain team combines traditionally separate capabilities including data analysis, systems integration, media, and creative into a team of subject matter experts that works side-by-side with consulting case teams and internal client teams. Accelerated by real-time testing, this unique approach to collaboration propels brand recognition, sales growth and team development, all at the speed of consumer demand. FRWD currently has offices in Minneapolis, New York, London, Singapore, Munich and is now building out a hub in the Chicago area.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM:
The leader will have a close working relationship with key Bain & Company Partners in selling projects and then managing them to successful outcomes, often directly in a hands-on way with the integrated Bain/FRWD teams. The unique contribution from this role is a convincing dialog brought to C-level client interactions. It needs to be accomplished through sheer depth of knowledge and experience generating great results by applying and translating capabilities and skillsets across traditional and digital marketing to sizeable business challenges. Bain Partners will have primarily responsibility for client relationships and finding the right entry points for FRWD@BAIN related work.
The role will have a significant impact on the FRWD@BAIN culture and success in Chicago, and around the globe as this role inspires and collaborates with others. Culturally the requirement is someone who wants to help build out a team in Chicago / Minneapolis markets, likes working in teams and with people, working closely with London, Munich, New York, and Singapore, and foster a healthy and innovative work environment by modelling calm under pressure, supporting career growth and communicating an inspiring vision for the future.
FRWD@BAIN seeks a highly experienced leader with deep marketing expertise, with marketing practitioner experience to deliver value solving clients toughest problems across the Americas region, with particular experience in the Chicago market being an advantage. You are a commercially-savvy individual who is motivated and inspired by the pace of technological change with the ability to translate that into ‘opportunity’ for our clients.
We're looking for this leader to have 15 years’ relevant experience working with large, sophisticated global marketing organizations. This could include growing within the agency space, leading people, process, and platform technology transformation for clients or brands, and/or leading transformation(s) at well-known marketing-driven client organization(s), and generally having a string of major business successes where a modern agile, iterative approach was core to the outcome. As an Expert Partner, you will also have significant experience within media, and is well-versed in managing the transformation from traditional first to a digitally-focused marketing approach.
You have a track-record in rapidly building and scaling teams and capabilities across a region is preferred. Deep marketing expertise around most effective and efficient strategies and execution is required, more so than a brand strategy and creative background.
You have the ability to assess client organizational strengths and weaknesses, compare to relevant best-practice benchmarks, and recommend solutions to build client internal capabilities around e.g. quality consumer data access and application to the full consumer journey is essential.
You also have first-hand experience with different agency and partner models will be a key component of our recommendations, as this person will often lead team recommendations at C-level around in or out-sourcing work, including partner selection and key contract terms, culture and capabilities.
