FRWD@Bain is Bain & Company’s digital marketing practice. Sitting across our Technology and Analytics Group (TAG) and our Customer Strategy and Marketing (CSM group), our vision is to help put marketing front and center as the #1 growth driver of our clients’ business.

 

With the combined skills of Bain and FWRD, we are able to bridge the gap between brand, marketing, strategy and execution, trialing strategies in immediate real-life tests, while having the operating model and organizational design experience to scale the results throughout the organization.

 

This role is based in Bangalore location.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

FRWD@Bain is looking for a Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. Someone who will confidently handle all steps in devising digital media strategy and helping clients optimize its digital media and marketing initiatives. This role will be part of a unique high-performing team that is typically involved in accelerating client results through testing, learning and scaling what works. Month to month experiences will typically range from very focused digital media analysis and optimization, leveraging the full suite of levers within the platform and across the client’s marketing organization - strategy, creative, analytics, operating model and capabilities, through to delivering results for great brands and clients. We are looking for someone who is excited to share their knowledge with the broader team and train their client teams and peers on how to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of its digital media initiatives, and connect the client’s marketing efforts to broader business outcomes. The person must want to help build and foster a healthy and innovative work environment, with a strong team focus and an ability to inject fun and humor even at the busiest times.

  • Being the digital media expert on the latest in digital media and marketing effectiveness and efficiency, with deep expertise in any one or a number of the major digital media platforms
  • The ability to personally consult on planning, set up, managing and reporting on digital media platforms, drawing on own first-hand in-platform experience to work alongside clients
  • The ability to partner with the right technology, partners, platforms
  • The go-to on the team – other media specialists, consultants and clients – who need help/education about the channels and capabilities – role in the broader mix, and impact on KPI’s and the business more broadly
  • Synthesize market insights and signals such as search and user data into actionable insights and recommendations towards client’s business objectives – the person who can highlight what really matters to impact the client business and deliver results at a consistently high level
  • Ability to determine the right KPI’s based on client goals, ranging from awareness to traffic to online conversions and performance
  • Restlessness, constantly trying to improve client campaigns, whether in the planning or optimization stage
  • Analytical rigor personally in platform or execution quality control oversight spanning:
    • On time delivery of analysis, planning and launch of all test or scale efforts
    • Influencing and managing client digital marketing strategy for the platforms/channels of expertise
    • Test-and-learn/experiment design to validate identified optimization opportunities
    • Advice on campaign set up, reporting and optimizing in-market media specifically in platforms/channels of expertise
    • Tests and campaign analyses that surface the what and so what tied to marketing and business objectives

ABOUT YOU

 

  • 5+ years of Media planning and execution experience across a mix of: paid social, display, video, search, ad technology – ideally a mix of expertise on one or any number of channels
  • Maintain strong expertise in digital media landscape, including media partners/products and industry best practices.
  • Develop POVs and recommendations on a variety of topics related to platforms/channels of expertise to guide clients and partners.
  • Oversight of client tests and campaign performance and effective communication of impact/learnings across client teams
  • Collaborate effectively with other FRWD@Bain team members and members of the general consulting team. Help training and enabling other case team members to execute at a high quality level while learning and growing. Likely to include core media team members focused on specific channels, analysts
  • Data gathering and analysis with actionable insights as it relates to business goals for reporting.
  • You are passionate about marketing; understand the power of digital to transform top and bottom line results by working differently and applying data in new ways.
  • Positive attitude, no matter what. You add energy to rooms and teams; help others see possibilities and clarity amidst uncertainty.
  • You have a well-developed understanding of marketing and communication best practices to draw on, yet are not afraid of solving problems through innovative thought leadership
  • Performance analysis – in-platform analysis of platforms/channels of expertise, and combining with other client data sources to deliver insights and recommendations
  • Channel savvy – ability to parse out performance in platforms/channels of expertise and develop effective solutions accordingly.
  • Communication, especially in packaging content into effective client presentations, and articulating highly technical insights and recommendations simply and clearly
  • Working in agile, shorter sprints instead of long planning cycles
  • Partnership oriented – with clients of course, and in working well with the internal team members of diverse backgrounds as well as, other agencies.
  • Solution oriented – comfortable with seeking out new technology, media, creative resources and to create opportunities for clients
  • Hands-on – embody ‘nothing is someone else’s problem’ and take ownership and inspire others with your can-do approach
