In this role, you'll be a part of our FRWD@Bain team. The FRWD@Bain team combines traditionally separate capabilities including data analysis, systems integration, media, and creative into a team of subject matter experts that works side-by-side with consulting case teams and internal client teams. FRWD is looking for a confident digital media manager who’s ready to take the next step in their career. Someone confident to handle all steps of a digital media campaign – from planning to optimization to reporting without thinking twice – and tackle strategy . Looking for someone who loves digital, and won’t “settle” for just any job. Someone who is excited to share their knowledge with the media team and train on how to run a successful campaign. And most importantly, someone who takes contributing to a positive and healthy work place as a serious responsibility, whether that be through proactive encouragement of others, random goofiness, funny but informative mass emails to the team or is just plain awesome to work with.


  • Manage media campaigns across various client teams via forecasting, strategy and campaign development, execution, optimization and measurement. Ideal core focus areas will be in: Paid search, Social PPC, Amazon PPC, and Mobile Search
  • Synthesize detailed search data into actionable insights and recommendations towards client’s business objectives
  • Ability to train junior level employees regarding paid search capability and executional tactics
  • Provides thought leadership to organization on ever-changing SEM landscape
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to continuously improve client campaigns
  • Stays abreast of search engine trends, insights and new product launches and shares regularly with greater team
  • Actively seeks and implements test opportunities, whether it be A/B landing page testing, bidding strategy experiments or ad copy testing
  • Maintains healthy relationships with technology, analytics and media partners
  • Executing planning and buying for FRWD clients
    • Managing media budgets, drafting and revising media schedules and insertion orders
    • Evaluating, negotiating and purchasing media
    • Campaign trafficking
    • Ad copy writing
    • Keyword research
    • Building client facing campaign reports with full campaign analysis
    • Meeting with the vendor community on a regular basis to ensure clients are leveraging the latest products and technologies


  • Minimum 4+ years paid media experience
  • Highly familiar with Google and Bing SEM platforms including Facebook PPC
  • Certifications: Google AdWords (Shopping, Mobile certifications a plus)
  • Familiar with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, WebTrends)
  • Strong writing skills – attention to correct mechanics and grammar are a must
  • Exhibits accountability for the measurable success of programs, clients and agency capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint - in particular, Excel
  • Passion for technology, marketing and its influence on consumer behavior
  • Ability to communicate to clients regarding media campaign success and suggested changes
  • Strong communication, time management and analytical skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, very organized, a multi-tasker and able to work well under pressure

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with ad serving technology (i.e. DART): trafficking, pulling reports, making and placing tracking tags
  • Experienced with bid management platforms
  • Competency in developing custom bid logic, experience with multiple forms of bidding strategies such as CPA, ROAS, etc.
  • SEO best practices
  • General understanding of interactive research tools, such as DART, Ad Relevance, @plan, and Media Metrix, SEM Rush
  • Certifications: Google Analytics IQ
  • eCommerce experience a plus


*Please note that this is a client-facing consulting role that will require some amount of travel post-COVID.
