Based in Bain Global Business Services Center (GBS) in Warsaw, part of the GBS Management team, the role is to define the GBS scope and service levels required in agreement with a subset of offices. This role also encompasses defining full potential and driving roadmap to reach it in those offices, as well as owning full service delivery within the agreed scopes.

Regional Human Capital Team Leaders manage a team within Regional Human Capital Operations in compliance with agreed service levels, approved budget and GBS policies. Regional Human Capital Team Leaders also provide services to supported offices for an allocation of their time agreed with GBS Management. Such services can be on any GBS Service line:

  • Consulting PD
  • CSS HR
  • Employee Administration
  • Reporting and HC analytics
  • Recruiting and onboarding

Responsibilities:

 

Service Delivery

  • Full ownership delivery of agreed GBS scope and full potential roadmap in allocated offices.
  • Monitor service levels for his/her team and drive execution of action plans, when required.
  • Drive a strong service culture and make Professional Standards, Operating Principles and Best Demonstrated Practices understood and applied.
  • Set-up and monitor quality control processes to ensure “zero-defect” attitude for operations

Capacity Management

  • Monitor/approve absences and holidays; work with HR to address any absence issues.
  • Regularly assess workload and run efficiency/productivity improvement initiatives, where necessary.
  • Organise backup to ensure continuity of service, possibly across all GBS HC Operations teams
  • Monitor attrition and perform root cause analyses, as needed 

Recruit and select

  • Agree open GBS positions with supported offices and communicates to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate GBS recruitment process for his/her team
  • Recommend selection criteria, and review applications 

Induction for new joiners

  • Organise and run induction sessions for all hires to his/her team.
  • Actively pursue outcome of probationary period for new entrants, ensuring appropriate documentation is prepared and delivered in a timely fashion, and ensuring quality input is received from supported offices
  • Recommend to GBS Manager decision on all GBS employees passing out of probationary period

Training and PD

  • Train team members to processes and offices within his/her scope. Prepare training material to do so.
  • Chair and lead regular team meetings
  • Initiate knowledge and experience sharing sessions within team and more broadly within the GBS
  • Manage training plans for team (content, frequency, channels, trainers)
  • Conduct individual catch ups with all team members on a regular basis, reviewing skill plans, summary updates and track progression
  • Manage yearly review process for team

Regional Harmonisation

  • Leverage Full Potential roadmaps in allocated offices to drive best practices within scope
  • Recommend process and efficiency improvements, share them broadly across all EMEA offices

Qualifications:

 

Essential

  • 2+ years of experience and track-record of managing team of employees, preferably in a shared services context
  • Experience as an HC contributor working in a demanding environment, preferably professional services
  • Fluent English at C1 level
  • Strong team manegement skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attitude of ownership & awareness
  • Excellent relationship-building skills

Desired

  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Coaching proficiency is clearly a plus
  • B2/C1 in any other language of operation
