    Position Summary:
    The purpose of this role is to provide system and administrative support for the Global Regional Services Human Resources team that partners with multiple functions of the business including the Global Marketing, Talent Management, Operations and Finance Departments.


    This is an opportunity to become the go-to person for employee records while developing organizational skills and gaining broad exposure to HR. This role will suit an intelligent individual with an ability to work autonomously as well as in a geographically dispersed team. The successful candidate should have a strong customer service attitude, excellent time management skills and be a self-starter.

    Essential Functions:


    Maintain human resources information system (Workday)

    • Create, update, and audit employee records regularly to ensure Workday serves as the ‘system of record’ for all Global/Regional employees at Bain
    • Track upcoming/future changes to employee records and enter when appropriate; ensure all appropriate parties are notified (e.g. the local office Human Resource teams, Finance, Technology Services)
    • Liaise with HR and Payroll teams around the globe to be sure compensation changes are entered and effected properly; strong awareness of payroll deadlines/processes based on type of change required
    • Drive proactive engagement with local HR teams in supported offices to confirm Workday events (hires, leaves, transfers, terminations, job changes)
    • Flag and escalate any issues, ensuring the integrity of the data information in our systems

    Onboarding and Departure Process

    • Help with the preparation of HR paperwork in relation to hiring and onboarding employees
    • Provide local office HR teams, hiring managers and others with information on new hires to support successful integration
    • Prepare exit materials for departing employees; process will include calculating required payouts and paperwork based on particular country

    Annual Performance and Compensation Review Process

    • Enter job changes for impacted employees, escalate records that need correcting or potential issues
    • Prepare documentation prior to Annual Review kickoff
    • Respond to global shared mailbox inquiries regarding back-end system requests
    • Assist with data organization in excel tracker; maintain and improve tracker as needed

    Reporting Responsibilities

    • Assist with preparing reports (from Workday)
    • Respond to general inquiries from managers and staff regarding job descriptions, dates of hire, compensation history, etc.

    Assist and support the HR team on any other requirements or ad hoc projects

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1-3 years of business experience
    • Self-starter with strong organization and problem solving skills – ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
    • Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of various teams
    • Comfort working in a global team; many team and customer interactions are via email, phone, video
    • Strong process management and attention to detail
    • Maintain professionalism and discretion while dealing with highly confidential information
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite required (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


    • Workday systems experience preferred
    • Experience working for a professional services organization preferred
