    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Financial Systems Director, this Senior Program Manager will lead Bain’s finance teams across the globe in the transformation of data, processes and systems by leading the implementation and ongoing administration of an enterprise cloud solution.  This position will manage the strategic planning, design, configuration and deployment of our core finance functions and processes.  Deliverables will cover financial, management and localized books across a suite of functions, including:  Accounts Payable, Expenses, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Intercompany, Lease Accounting, Multi-currency, Procurement, Reporting and Consolidations.  This position will own all aspects of our ERP cloud system, including:  optimization, data integrity, upgrade testing, new feature rollout, financial reporting, user security, controls, user support, documentation, user training, third party and custom integration processes.  This is a challenging opportunity to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, timeline, quality and budget.

    Essential Functions

    System Implementations

    • Partner with internal Finance and IT function leads and our system integrator to develop, document and execute a series of comprehensive plans supporting transformation from Bain’s legacy systems to an enterprise cloud solution
    • Create a resourcing plan for the initial implementation and ongoing activities
    • Institute a change management plan and polices that ensure cloud compliance best practices
    • Take a lead role in creation and validation of test scenarios and scripts
    • Develop the command center logistics, communication and escalation plan
    • Manage risk and issue logs and develop assessment and contingency plans
    • Provide status reporting and tee up decisions for Steering Committee and key stakeholders
    • Build and successfully manage an execution plan of ongoing release activities
    • Identify and implement digital automation capabilities
    • Introduce process optimizations across all service lines and geographies
    • Define user roles and configure security models
    • Evaluate and actively contribute to set standard global business processes and data cleansing activities
    • Data conversion
    • Coordinate legacy shut-down activities

    System Strategy

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Accounting, FP&A, Procurement and Tax on the applications strategy, setting priorities and in building out key capabilities and services to support these departments and meet ever-changing business requirements
    • Support acquisition integrations and global expansions

    System Oversight

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Accounting, FP&A, Procurement and Tax to ensure efficient, consistent and accurate reporting that meets GAAP, global/regional management, and local statutory requirements
    • Streamline and strengthen system controls to mitigate risk
    • Review global processes and lead ongoing user training, internal support and system maintenance to ensure consistent practices, solid system integrity and controls.
    • Serves as the key technical/functional interface between vendors, IT and business functions to determine current and future technology needs
    • Act as the point of escalation for all issues, proactively resolving discrepancies or process issues as they occur and/or when a functional rollout may be jeopardized
    • Provide oversight to support tickets and feedback on resolution status
    • Lead vendor management activities, including ongoing vendor relationship, support process, influence roadmap

    • Inspire, motivate and foster high performing inclusive project teams responsible for delivering features and functionality




    • B.S. in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience in global scale financial management systems and process transformation and with SaaS delivery model adoption
    • 10+ years in Finance, including:
    • 5+ years of hands on functional and technical experience configuring, deploying and administering financial ERP systems
    • 7+ years in leadership, supervisory or management position
    • Proven ability to work as a corporate financial systems leader, including experience directing multiple complex projects from formation through deployment and creative problem solving ability to address challenging business and accounting requirements
    • Executive presence, ability to interact with senior leaders and adapt style as needed for technical or non-technical audiences
    • Excellent problem solving, root-cause analysis skills.  Able to readily diagnose system deficiencies and independently configure effective solutions.
    • Capable of connecting with audiences at every level via strong storytelling, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills to decisively make decisions, build influence and gain buy-in from executives, stakeholders, peers, and team members


    • MS or MBA Preferred
    • CPA or ERP certifications a plus
    • International experience with shared service center and complex county localizations preferred
