    Position Summary

    This role will be a leader in the global staffing team focused on the implementation and support for Bain’s internal staffing system. Responsibilities include working closely with internal customers across a myriad of groups (Staffing, Global Human Capital, Finance, Knowledge Management, and others) to drive global implementation efforts and ownership for continuously improving data collection and processes related to the system strategy, specifically as it relates to reporting requirements.

    Essential Functions

    • Serve as key contributor in leading system implementation and training
      • Collaborate with senior members of Staffing, Global Human Capital, Finance, Knowledge Management, and others on system strategy and change management needs
      • In collaboration with the staffing directors, develop and maintain the staffing policy and guidelines documentation
      • Develop documentation and/or training materials and conduct comprehensive training sessions
      • Direct and facilitate the creation of process flows, use cases and screen mock-ups
      • Facilitate project communications to ensure all necessary stakeholders are informed
      • Participate and drive all phases of systems launch including:  definition and planning, communication, lead role in project tracking, testing, reporting, rollout, responsible for post launch support.
    • Develop and maintain a detailed level of familiarity of the staffing system with the ability to support and answer internal customer questions and resolve issues as may be required
      • Build collaborative relationships with internal customers to ensure continuous feedback on staffing systems and identifying opportunities for enhancements
      • Help facilitate feedback to the product team and provide input to prioritize enhancement requests
      • Document system specifications and workflow process
      • Work collaboratively with the Product Owner to manage system upgrades, including developing and executing test plans, identifying system dependencies and highlighting risks
      • Maintain documentation of user functions, policies, procedures and reports
    • Provide on-going support for the staffing system including 
      • Responding to questions from users
      • Managing security
      • Training new users and conducting refresher training sessions, as needed
    • Work as a peer with the Product Owner, to lead report writing efforts:  evaluate needs, design, develop or oversee development and examine code, test and communicate uses
    • Communicate effectively with staffing officers across the globe and build collaborative relationships with internal customers to ensure continuous feedback on staffing system and identifying opportunities for enhancements
    • Collaborate with staffing scrum team, providing input and feedback from stakeholders
      • Collaborate with senior staffing management and development team, suggesting reporting options based on customer feedback and uses
    • Responsible for ownership of end to end analysis of report and data requests that will drive senior leadership decisions including: 
      • Advising on data nuances, providing suggestions on methodology, and preserving the security and integrity of the data
      • Execute zero-defect analysis of staffing data and develop presentations to communicate findings on staffing metrics, trends and variances
      • Identify information sources and demonstrate effective and creative approaches to data gathering in order to complete value-added analyses
      • In some cases make process changes to system processes and data collection based on analysis
      • Ad hoc analysis as needed/requested


    • Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic record
    • Minimum of 6-8 years of professional work experience with at least one year experience in systems related role and/or multiple years’ experience in a business analyst role
      Preferred: Preferred experience agile development/implementation


    • Ability to quickly grasp new requirements, technologies, tools and concepts
    • Proven strong logic, analytical and technological skills
    • Excellent business systems knowledge, problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
    • Proven ability to problem solve and take initiative on multi-faceted projects/responsibilities
    • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
    • Superior judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
    • Ability to travel and flex schedule to support customers in various locations and time zones as needed
    • Ability to self-motivate, flex project role (depending on project needs and requirements) and pro-actively contribute to the team’s success
    • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Preference for skills in Tableau, Power BI , Azure Dev Ops and Alteryx
