  • Position Summary:

     

    As a member of the Diversity Recruiting team, the Recruiting Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Bain GLBTQ Network (BGLAD) and Veterans at Bain (VABs) recruiting efforts for the AC/ACI and Consultant/Summer Associate positions.  This role will also support an effort to more broadly redefine our operating model for diversity recruiting, as capacity allows.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as main point of contact for Diversity Team Leads (DTLs), school recruiters and office recruiters to coordinate logistics for BGLAD and VABs events such as advertisements, presentations, dinners, etc.
      • Coordinate calendars with school teams to secure target event date
      • Confirm event venue and contract details as necessary
      • Draft target event advertisement for distribution via DTLs and school teams
      • Confirm any presentation materials if necessary
      • Coordinate BGLAD and VABs formal contribution to closing efforts/teams
    • Utilize our recruit tracking system for event staffing, data entry, event management, and reporting
      • Ensure BGLAD and VABs events are updated and accurate in the system
      • Staff target events from membership list and track BGLAD and VABs commitments
      • Pull event registration lists and candidate data for each event for DTLs
      • Ensure pre-wire emails are sent to appropriate stakeholders
      • Collect post-event feedback from DTLs and make sure relevant information is entered in the system
      • Pull resume review lists for each school for DTL review same day as school team makes list available
      • Ensure each resume review list is returned to school team prior to school deadline
      • Track number of students moving through the process at all stages
    • Facilitate interoffice communications for BGLAD and VABs candidates
      • Keep track of candidate maps
      • Keep track of LT introductions
    • Handle instructional correspondence with DTLs
      • Coordinate annual DTL kick off calls
      • Regular procedural reminders
    • Assist with recruit expense reimbursements
    • Support Diversity Recruiting Manager in redefining operating model for diversity recruiting going forward, as capacity allows
    • Assist with other administrative duties related to recruiting as required
    • Work with other diversity teams as appropriate

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS preferred
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and analytical skills
    • Flexible work-style to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage last-minute changes
    • Passion for working with and learning from individuals from various backgrounds
    • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required.  Knowledge of PowerPoint a plus
    • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
