  • Position Summary:

    Partners with West Coast HR Managers to provide comprehensive support for West Coast offices (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle) and actively collaborates with the broader West Coast Human Resources, Centers of Excellence, Shared Services and Screening teams. This includes providing ownership and support to various HR programs, tasks and initiatives. This position will act as the primary point of contact for employees for various HR programs, escalating high priority items to the Managers as necessary. Daily use of core Bain applications, HRIS systems and various reporting will be required.


    • Perform duties related to Onboarding of new employees, including but not limited to: welcome emails, I-9 support, scheduling of orientation, office tours, and preparing materials to welcome new hires/transfers to the Los Angeles and Seattle offices
    • Provide Consulting Support Services recruiting support for the West Coast: partner with hiring managers to post role to applicant tracking software and keep candidate tracking up to date through process; maintain relationship with recruiting agencies; screen and recommend candidates to hiring managers; schedule interviews; hold debrief sessions; partner with HR Manager to create offer letter;
    • Administer externship process; understand policies, provides job seeking guidance, make recommendations in complex situations and manage all communication/documentation with employees, program managers, and potential employers. Elevate relevant issues to HRMs, Global Human Capital and legal as necessary
    • Administer Business School Programs, including ensuring all applicable paperwork is executed in a timely fashion and tracked with both HR and Recruiting; all paperwork is sent to schools to ensure employee tuition on campus is set up in a timely fashion, all invoices are set up/coded, and employees are set up appropriately in HRIS
    • Manage Los Angeles Advisor, Colleague, and Transfer Buddy Program
    • Work with Legal Counsel to schedule non-harassment training for local office and track employee attendance annually
    • Maintain personnel files to ensure all employee files are up to date with relevant offer letters, contracts, and agreements
    • Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned or responsibilities dictate
    • Act as a general source of information for employees
    • Attends regular HR meetings to gather and communicate information on staff and teams
    • Provides coverage for West Coast team on an as-needed basis



    • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
    • At least 2 years of applicable Human Resources experience in a professional services firm preferred
    • Ability to work independently with little guidance from supervisor
    • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills; and an integral member of various teams
    • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
    • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and handle confidential information in a professional manner
    • Meticulous attention to detail and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database skills
    • Flexibility with hours; ability to work overtime and evenings without prior notice

    • Ability to deal with highly confidential information responsibly
