    Bain Advisor Network


    Bain & Company’s core business is helping client executive teams to make their companies more valuable. This may require a strategy to adapt to changing market circumstances, an improvement in operational performance, or a strengthened organisation. Bain frequently engages with external Advisors and leverages external partnerships to complement Bain teams to deliver results.


    Bain’s Advisor Network team is focused on building and maintaining a scale network of Bain affiliated Advisors. The BAN team manages policies, promotes visibility and use of advisors across Bain, plays a direct role in sourcing and managing Advisor relationships and supports the operations of the network.


    The BAN is a central team within Bain that collaborates closely with internal Bain stakeholders, including case teams, Partners and Practices. The team is comprised of leaders with deep experience inside Bain in consulting and program management and in executive search and talent research.


     Position Summary


    The Program Management Coordinator will work as an integral part of the global Bain Advisor Network team. The Coordinator will be responsible for program management of BAN processes including advisor placement and maintenance of BAN network, as well as interfacing with internal stakeholders to answer their questions and requests. This is a new role, which has been created as part of the Bain Advisor Network.


    The Program Management Coordinator will be viewed as successful if:


    • BAN process (including coordinating legal documentation, placing advisors and maintaining the advisor network) is coordinated effectively to facilitate program success
    • The BAN team, Bain Partners and Bain case teams believe they have a primary “go-to” person to handle program operations and questions (are having all queries answered in a timely fashion)

    Specific Responsibilities


    • Support the Global BAN team in daily running of the BAN processes, specifically in the coordination and placement of Bain advisors. This role ensures a smooth search and onboarding experience to enhance advisor retention.
      • Receive requests from Partners for new advisors and pass on the information to the relevant BAN Recruiter, conducting any required clarifications of the request
      • Provide initial shortlist of suitable existing advisors (when requested by a Bain Partner/Manager)
      • Run checks on advisors against staffing guidelines (before they are staffed on a case) using the prescribed process
      • Coordinate advisor interviews with Partner/ Director (as appropriate)Inform Bain Partner Guardian when their advisor is about to become actively staffed
      • Ensure advisor feedback is collected and is readily available in the BAN system for use in future assignment requests
      • Provide Bain Partners/Managers existing advisor contracts and agreed rates (when requested)
      • Coordinate legal documentation with BAN Legal and advisor (ensuring all legal documentation has been executed before commencement of assignment)
      • Add advisor to BAN system, track advisor requests and update status of advisor when on a case
      • Support with onboarding process of advisors including providing advisor introductory materials to cover key messages about Bain, answering advisor questions and coordinating Citrix and travel accounts
      • Ensure advisor receives other aspects of value proposition (latest BAN information, sharable Practice knowledge, etc.) including coordination with marketing teams and Practices
    • Manage team email inbox and field questions about Bain Advisor Network from Bain case teams and Partners in a timely manner
    • Provide BAN Program Manager with relevant information so they can provide BAN Director with monthly overview of BAN activities and progress including tracking key metrics
    • Proactively communicate any potential issues with deadline or problems with data accuracy
    • Identify and participate in team initiatives, such as training and process/tool improvements, recommend best practices or process improvements regarding program management to the Director

    Other relationships: Liaises with BAN Coordinators and Recruiters based in EMEA, APAC and Americas, also works with BAN Legal and Finance Analyst and BAN Program Manager


    Other interactions: Communicates with Bain Practice leads, Bain Partners, Bain consulting staff and senior external advisors (and potential external advisors)



    The successful candidate will possess strong organisational and project management skills, as well as a proven background of problem-solving. Given our collaborative business orientation, the successful candidate will possess a track record of collaborative and solutions-oriented business practices. The ideal profile includes:


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with exposure to database or list management
    • 3-4 years’ related business experience preferred
    • Strong corporate recruiting background and proven experience with modern recruitment practices and sources
    • Exposure to consulting or professional services firm preferred
    • Demonstrated success in working with senior executives and exhibiting sound judgment
    • Experience working with/in Bain & Company preferred but not required
    • Ability to interact with senior management
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a customer service orientation
    • Works independently, with attention to details and a high level of accuracy
    • Collaborative, team oriented working style and ability to work with a diverse range of internal and client team members; highly recommended by former colleagues
    • Desires to push individual boundaries, and an enthusiasm to discover creative solutions
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-time zone environment and ability to manage competing demands
