  • Position Summary:

     

    Under general supervision, performs standard accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and journal entry preparation. Analyzes financial and operating data and assists in preparation of management reports and financial statements.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Accumulate, reconcile and report on worldwide financial information.
    • Review assigned balance sheet and related income statement accounts for accuracy.
    • Prepare and review inter-company invoices with international subsidiaries.
    • Assist in the annual conversion of accrual basis financial statements to cash basis for corporate and international offices for the US consolidated tax return.
    • Analyze and report on global billable expenses to senior leadership.
    • Review and maintain prepaid expense balances in corporate entities.
    • Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual government surveys.
    • Document, analyze and assist in budgeting process of costs for external coaching program.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries for corporate entities.
    • Prepare detailed audit schedules for interim and year-end reviews by independent auditors.
    • Reconcile various corporate cash, other asset, and accrual accounts.
    • Assist in accounting for monthly inter-company loan activity.
    • Assess, design, and document process improvements, particularly focused on driving efficiency.
    • Represent the company as a highly visible customer service representative, both internally (FP&A; Technology Services Group; Accounts Payable; etc.) and externally (i.e. inquiries from cost center managers, international controllers, bank personnel, staff, etc.).
    • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
    • 1-2 years of experience in public accounting and/or equivalent experience in industry.
    • Knowledge of standard accounting principles, methods, and applications.
    • Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking skills.
    • Knowledge of computer information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
    • Strong Excel skills to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
    • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
