    The Role: Senior Paid Search Media Planner

    FRWD@bain is looking for a paid search specialist who is ready to take the next step in their career. Someone who will confidently handle all steps in creating and executing campaigns without thinking twice. This role will be part of a unique consulting/agency hybrid service model and a high-performing team. Month to month experiences will typically range from very focused opportunity assessment/impact projections, to testing and scaling in search and ecommerce platforms. Often this work is part of broader transformation engagements involving strategy and audience segmentation, creative, analytics through to delivering results for great brands and clients. We are looking for someone who is excited to share their knowledge with the broader team and train their client teams and peers on how to apply search to contribute to a client’s marketing efforts and broader business outcomes. The person must want to help build and foster a healthy and innovative work environment, with a strong team focus and an ability to inject fun and humor even at the busiest times. We offer a competitive base salary and bonus.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assessing opportunities by looking at existing accounts and making recommendations prioritized by client business impact
    • Managing campaigns across projects via Paid Search forecasting, strategy and campaign development, execution, optimization and measurement
    • Being the paid search expert in the team and quickly mastering all nuances across Social PPC, Amazon AMS and new platforms
    • Ability to train junior employees and educate the broader consulting teams and clients on domain best practices and capabilities
    • Thought leadership and proactive sharing to the broader Bain and client teams on the ever-changing landscape
    • Delivering strong results by continuously testing and being accountable for the full consumer experience
    • Develop and foster healthy relationships with technology, analytics and media partners – current and new
    • Execution:
      • Keyword research
      • Influence media budgeting and then manage to budget, drafting and revising media schedules
      • Ad copy writing
      • Best practice analytics set up
      • Simple, streamlined reporting of both the what and so what, such that budgets are constantly being optimized and insights into audiences and broader opportunities surface
      • Close collaboration with other team members when these tactics are running as part of a broader effort

     

    Qualifications

    Candidate requirements:

    • Must possess 3+ years SEM experience, ideally including an ecommerce platform such as Amazon
    • Highly familiar with Google and Bing SEM platforms including Facebook PPC
    • Certifications: Google AdWords (Shopping, Mobile certifications a plus)
    • Familiar with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, WebTrends)
    • Strong writing skills – Attention to correct mechanics and grammar are a must
    • Experience of Voice Search
    • Exhibits accountability for the measurable success of programs, clients and agency capabilities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel essential; Word and PowerPoint ideal
    • Passion for technology, marketing and its influence on consumer behavior
    • Ability to communicate to clients regarding media campaign success and suggested changes
    • Detail-oriented, organized, a multi-tasker and able to work well under pressure

    Preferred, but not required:

    • Experience with ad serving technology: Trafficking, pulling reports, making and placing tracking tags
    • Experienced with bid management platforms (e.g. Kenshoo, Marin, SearchForce, Google Search Ads 360)
    • Competency in developing custom bid logic, experience with multiple forms of bidding strategies such as CPA, ROAS, Smart Bidding
    • Familiarity with Yandex is a bonus
    • SEO best practices
    • Understanding of interactive research tools, such as Ad Relevance, @plan, Media Metrix, SEM Rush
    • Certifications: Google Analytics IQ
    • eCommerce experience
    • Willingness to travel
