Support design and implementation of the Northeast marketing strategy and other regional efforts, including alumni and client development support, under supervision of the Senior Marketing Specialist and local office leadership.
Execute local marketing and alumni activities, on time and on budget, with significant collaboration with local Partner and Executive Assistant (EA) group.
Manage local events (average 1-2 per quarter), creating event work plans, internal & external communications, invitation lists, attendee profiles, and post-event analysis reports. Select venues, menus, gifts, and décor, negotiate contracts and manage budget. Provide regular updates for internal customers
Manage local digital mailings, coordinating with leadership team to create and maintain recipient database and encouraging broader usage/distribution of Bain content.
Manage local inputs to and usage of Bain’s global contact management system (CRM), training and trouble-shooting with local admin staff to ensure up-to-date, comprehensive data and providing reports and analysis on the Bain network on demand, to support business needs.
Coordinate NE alumni relations program, transitioning outgoing employees into positive Bain promoters by maintaining local alumni database, planning & executing local alumni events and mailings, and submitting local content to global alumni website & newsletter. Build internal awareness around program and conduct regular data audits
Execute digital presence activities for leadership team including optimization of Bain.com and LinkedIn profiles. Build knowledge base of Bain.com traffic metrics and local office page
Support assigned practice area (and others as needed) execute marketing initiatives including events, account analysis, digital presence and CRM data. Leverage best practices from other practice are
Support Partners’ business development with local target companies. Work with senior management team to prioritize and gather relevant fact base on local priority companies and contacts, provide suggestions of relevant Bain IP to share.
Support Managers’ networking efforts. Work with local principals, managers and managers assistants to help management team cultivate relationships with their key business contacts, primarily through contact management/CRM, IP distribution and client events
Contribute to development of annual marketing and alumni plans for local office, working with marketing specialist and partner. Help assess local marketing objectives and determine optimal mix of local marketing activities to meet them.
Monitor and report out on progress and results through key marketing/alumni metrics.
Serve as marketing contact for local office employees. Communicate with staff periodically about value and impact of marketing and alumni activities, and the importance of brand consistency, to increase general participation and mitigate risks. Keep local marketing collateral, office marketing materials library, leadership activity and event data current.
Implement new global marketing initiatives and contribute to their design by representing local office at regional and global marketing meetings and sharing BDPs.
Perform other related duties as assigned or as responsibilities dictate.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or related field
Minimum of 3 years professional experience with progressive responsibility in marketing or event related strategy and implementation, including budget responsibility
Ability to interact and represent Bain professionally and effectively with top executives and their staffs internally and externally
Outstanding organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
Database management and analysis experience strongly preferred
Experience in professional services firm preferred
