  • Overview

    The Global Procurement Manager will establish, oversee and manage a newly formed group that will handle all aspects of purchasing software, services, hardware and supplies for Global & Regional operating teams. Their duties will vary depending on the specific requirements of the various teams they support. Common duties will include: negotiating contracts with vendors and internal stakeholders, handling the ordering process, managing maintenance contracts and renewals, invoice processing, managing license inventories and developing vendor relationships.


    Establish a Procurement team that will handle all aspects of purchasing software, services, hardware, and supplies for Global operating teams
    • Establish robust processes and procedures to ensure on-going compliance with contract terms and purchasing standards across the globe
    • Understand each Global Operations team’s environment and project roadmap
    • Negotiate contracts for existing and new software, hardware, services and supplies vendors
    • Coordinate with Bain Legal team for review of all new and renewed contracts
    • Work with Bain Finance and Legal teams to facilitate the ordering process
    • Coordinate with IT Security Team to ensure appropriate security reviews are conducted and work with the vendor to mitigate or resolve any risks identified
    • Maintain vendor relationships
    • Manage software license inventory, including license deployments, license true-ups, existing contract terms and contract expiration/renewal dates
    • Negotiate and manage maintenance contracts
    • Be seen as a go-to expert for all processes Procurement-related
    • Process all invoices and resolve any discrepancies found
    • Refine and maintain the existing RFP (Request For Proposal) process
    • Conduct market and product research and cost analysis


    • Relevant bachelor’s degree (Business/finance degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 7+ years of hands-on experience procuring large contracts (including software, hardware, supplies, etc…) in a global setting
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Experience in building strong relationships with both customers and vendors
    • High performance and standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience
    • Effective collaborator with both non-technical and technical teams
    • Competency and enthusiasm for knowledge-sharing and cross-training
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
    • Strong customer service focus
    • Experience in global, multi-national companies is a plus
