  • Overview

    Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and support of Bain’s core HR system, Workday, with a focus on continuous improvement of configuration and reporting, participation in the implementation of new functionality and modules of varying size, and change management with the system user group.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the implementation of new functionality in Workday
      • Work with functional team members to understand requirements and communicate system capabilities/limitations
      • Perform research, configuration, and testing as necessary to roll out new Workday functionality, independently or as part of a project team
      • Work with functional team members to understand training requirements for new system functionality, and assist in the creation and rollout of training material or sessions
    • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Workday reports, including BIRT reporting
    • Proactively monitor Workday functionality to identify areas for improvement or optimization, and work with relevant functional or system groups to implement and communicate updates
    • Organize specialized training and support for Workday users, specifically around new or changing functionality
      • Identify training needs outside of new hire training
      • Develop training materials and keep them up to date
      • Perform live/Webex training sessions with system users as necessary
    • Participate in twice-yearly Workday upgrade cycle
      • Identify upgrades that may impact current configuration, and improvements to implement
      • Organize testing throughout the functional areas of Workday, communicating areas for testing to the various system stakeholders
    • Troubleshoot Workday system issues and raise tickets with vendor when required
    • Work collaboratively as member of the Global Human Capital team
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with high academic achievement or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
    • 3 to 5 years of system experience required, Workday experience strongly preferred
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
      • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
      • Strong written and oral communication skills
      • Strong process skills of follow up and follow through
    • Superior judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
    • Ability to work productively both independently and as an integral member of various teams.
    • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
