    Bain’s in-house editorial staff produces hundreds of reports, blog posts, videos and other multimedia items related to all aspects of business each year. The Graphic Design Intern will help the team develop eye-catching images and motion graphics for social promotion.

     

    The internship provides opportunities to build skills that are foundational for a career in online media, graphic design and social marketing. Interns are full members of the team, attending regular team meetings and social events. The intern will work 30 hours per week in Bain’s Boston office from May through December. There is a potential to expand the hours and/or term of employment.

     

    Under general supervision, the intern will design images and motion graphics that will be used to promote Bain’s publications on major social networks, and provide related support to the Editorial team.  

    Responsibilities

    • Works with Digital and Social Media Editor to:
    • Design eye-catching images and motion graphics to promote Bain content on major social networks, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
    • Load, manage and optimize video content in our social media management tool
    • Propose images for social posts about promote recently published material
    • Adapts charts from major reports for social use
    • May perform specific projects requiring analytical skills, and basic office administrative or staff-support duties as required to meet specific operational objectives

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, in Graphic Design preferred. Prior experience in a professional environment is preferred
    • Ability to create both static images and motion graphics, such as GIFs and short videos
    • Strong knowledge of social media standards and trends
    • Strong command of Adobe tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
    • Familiarity with the Sprinklr social media management platform and the Brightcove video platform are a plus, but not required
    • Attention to detail, effective time management and strong verbal skills required
    • Candidates must possess an ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work independently
