    Role Summary: 


    The Motion Graphics Director will work within Bain’s Global Video department. The MGAM will work closely with the Global Video Manager and Producers on internal and external projects for various internal clients. Candidates must have a track record of professional, contemporary, creative products and a desire to help lead production capability in a fast-paced, high-performance corporate environment. This position will be based in New York.


    Design and animate motion graphics videos:

    • Work with the producers to create motion graphics for Bain’s videos
    • Conceptualize and design graphic elements to visually represent business information
    • Continue to develop the style for product videos and create AFX templates that can be applied to other videos
    • Establish templates and other workflow processes to scale implementation of motion graphics to future projects
    • Work on concurrent projects
    • Meet with clients to discuss the best creative route forward on projects
    • Recommend creative solutions to complex business ideas
    • Encode and upload videos to Bain's video review platform and DAM
    • Assist internal and external editors in adding graphics to videos
    • Reconcile and archive projects per Bain's specifications

    Globally recruit and manage Motion Graphics freelancers and Animators and make the case for full-time hires:

    • Have a full understanding of Global Video's projects and priorities
    • Propose solutions for expanding your team in order to meet the workload
    • Work with Post-production specialist on project timelines

    Train and expand Global Marketing Team’s knowledge and use of motion graphics:

    • Lead trainings on motion graphic techniques and approaches
    • Build curriculum to train team
    • Develop strategy to expand internal resourcing for motion graphics needs through tools, process, and people

    Manage software and tools for role:

    • Evaluate and define use case for software and hardware tools needed for the role
    • Maintain working knowledge of latest industry techniques and trends

    Attend weekly review meetings with team.


    • Eight or more years of experience in motion graphics production in the corporate, television, or internet
    • Strong leadership skills
    • 2 years or more of training or curriculum development
    • 2 years or more of managing editors or motion graphic designers
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Video/Film Production or related field preferred
    • Works collaboratively and welcomes constructive criticism to improve his/her product
    • Communicates clearly and professionally in both written form and verbally
    • Has a set of loyal (internal or external) clients who actively recommend his/her services
    • Strong story telling skills
    • Contributes creative ideas to projects in pre and post production
    • Can work independently or collaborate with team
    • Can work simultaneous projects under tight deadline situations
    • Master of After Effects, with working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere and color correction
    • Working knowledge of 3D software, Cinema 4D or other, and how it integrates with After Effects
    • Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and juggles multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Can work in a PC environment
    • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, flexible, customer-centric, and professional
    • Exercises impeccable judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
