We advise global leaders on their most critical issues and opportunities. We help them make better decisions and transform those decisions to actions, which result in delivering long-term success (our public clients have historically outperformed the stock market 4 to 1).

We continue to be innovators in our industry, with an entrepreneurial culture at the heart of what we do.  Our Advanced Digital and Product Team (“ADAPT”) is our newest solutions team, created to help our clients determine not what digital will do to them, but what they will do with digital.

ADAPT is a team of capability experts from product design, development, digital marketing, advanced analytics, and design thinking.

We are looking for two Designers to join our state-of-the-art Innovation Hub in Berlin. You will apply a user centered design approach to shape fascinating digital product experiences for some of the world’s most recognized brands.

You will be quickly placed onto live projects, working side by side with some of the best minds in business.

We are looking for a highly collaborative, smart, well-rounded individual who possesses strong problem-solving skills, a track record of success, and the passion to make an impact.  You will work in partnership with Bain consultants in delivering extraordinary value to our clients:

    • Design lightweight mock-ups as well as high fidelity prototypes to communicate and validate design decisions
    • Create highly engaging visual designs that balance user needs, business objectives and technical constraints
    • Work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers within Agile development environments
    • Take the lead in user research activities and develop personas, customer journey maps and similar artefacts
    • Facilitate design sprints and other design workshops to rapidly produce tangible results and engage senior management of our clients
    • Collaborate with consulting teams to develop robust product strategy

As an early member of Bain’s design team you will be instrumental in the formation and evangelizing of the group and its capabilities across Bain.

    • You’ll need to have fluency in Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite as well as knowledge of prototyping tools such as Flinto, Principle or Invision
    • If you have a Master’s degree in interaction, industrial or visual design that’s great but an equivalent degree with strong academic credentials is fine too

    About You

    • Versatile: You can take on a broad range of different design requests from multiple clients, are hands-on and can switch quickly from one client situation to the next

    • Strategic: You are a holistic and strategic thinker and able to place product into the bigger picture of our clients

    • Empathic: You show great empathy for your audience and are experienced in User Centered Design practices

    • Participating: You love working with a team and are eager to collaborate with business colleagues to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges

    • Passionate: You love creating intuitive and beautiful user experiences that exceed the needs of your users

    • Flexible: You are deliberate about your design approach, and you rely on feedback from the team and users to ideate and improve on your designs
