  • Overview

    As a member of the Bay Area Recruiting team, assist in the development, planning, and execution of all Bay Area Associate Consultant and Associate Consultant Internship recruiting efforts and run the recruiting process for UC Berkeley for all offices globally.


    •  Coordinate the administration of the on-campus and in-office recruiting efforts at UC Berkeley.

      • Support the creation of marketing strategies. Coordinate school team members, schedule formal and informal presentations, career fairs, receptions and dinners. Act as liaison between school career services offices and Bain oversee communication and correspondence with candidates throughout the year.
      • Manage candidate selection process: lead team of alums in reviewing and screening candidate resumes. Ensure all reviewers have complete set of resumes, compile the list of applicants to be reviewed and maintain records at the resume review session.
      • Manage all logistics and attend interviews. Responsibilities include reserving interviewing rooms, setting up interview schedules in Recruiting system, scheduling students, selecting and confirming interviewers, running debrief meetings, determining next step decisions, and manage the communication to candidates and other offices. For SF candidates, manage all logistics for 2nd round interviews in the office: secure interviewers, schedule candidates, run offer debrief, coordinate offer communication.
      • Serve as local contact for UC Berkeley students interested in other offices in North America and internationally, coordinating with other Recruiters to help schedule 2nd rounds and provide post-offer support.
      • Manage the closing process for SF offerees from UC Berkeley. Determine closing team, coordinate contact with candidate. Collect and process paperwork for offerees.
    • Provide exceptional and timely responses, interactions and overall experience to recruits and excellent support and timely responses to Consulting staff involved in recruiting process (e.g., providing interview training, setting interviewer schedules, managing commitments etc.).
    • Plan and execute various elements of AC and ACI offeree weekends in San Francisco. Organize the logistics for and attend events, interact with students, and ensure all offeree activities run smoothly.
    • Manage school budgets for both full-time and internship recruiting efforts, including event expense tracking and coding, annual updates and/or reforecasting, ongoing supervision of funds, etc.
    • Help plan, organize and manage the Associate Consultant Intern program in San Francisco. This includes scheduling on-campus and in-office ACI interviews, selecting a program manager, creating a summer social calendar, managing program budget, participating in the staffing process and planning all other aspects of the ACI program (coordinating colleagues, in-office orientation and training, organizing social events, attending events, etc.)
    • Work with the Recruiters in other offices to hire students from schools in the Northeast, Midwest, and LA. Work with local alum to review resumes, assign 1st round interview buddies, schedule 2nd round interviews, and lead closing team efforts for offerees.
    • Assist in evaluating the success of each recruiting season; prepare and analyze statistics on overall yield, school success, etc. Use statistics/data to recommend process changes and improvements to the AC recruiting management team.
    • Utilize Recruiting system for recruit, event and data management. Develop extensive facility with Avature and its functions, and become a resource for other coordinators.
    • Work with the San Francisco HR team to manage the new hire onboarding process, including but not limited to: new hire paperwork, creation of new hire website, selection and distribution of colleagues, start dates, etc.
    • Coordinate other administrative duties surrounding the AC recruiting efforts and the ACI program as needed. Tasks will include offeree expense reimbursement, spreadsheet management, PowerPoint slide creation and other duties.



    • BA/BS degree required; minimum two years professional experience, preferably in a professional services firm. One year of related experience preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), project and people management skills
    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to deal appropriately with highly-confidential information in a professional/mature manner
    • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with high degree of accuracy
    • Ability to represent Bain to prospective candidates and interact with senior Bain management and school contacts.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills – ability to manage multiple priorities and workflow
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Ability to work independently, as well as within teams
    • Flexibility with hours; ability to work overtime and evenings as needed
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
