Based in our EMEA Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Warsaw, the BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain’s case teams to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property.


Procurement Associate play a senior team member role COE cases, at times leading simple cases fairly independently and at time driving the analysis on more complicated cases with significant direction from a Team Leader.


COE Associates conduct market research, codify Bain’s intellectual property and work closely with third party analytics vendors to support procurement spend analysis. They may interact with third party vendors at times to trouble shoot and resolve issues. High performing COE Associates may have the opportunity to travel globally to work directly with procurement case teams. COE Associates work with case teams across geographies and industries; however, they focus almost exclusively on procurement projects.

COE Associate may manage 1-3 COE Analysts and take responsibility for sharing appropriate information across work streams. COE Associates provide feedback and coach COE Analysts on task execution and role. They, at times, provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage team meetings.

  • Professional with sound business logic and ability to structure approaches to answer complex business questions
  • Able to very quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies and industries
  • May have first level team management responsibility which generally involves conducting performance discussions/appraisals, allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts
  • May manage simple procurement cases consistently and independently
  • Able to interface with primary client contacts (Bain case teams from any global office, global Practice Area affiliates and third party analytics vendors)

Proficient in market research and data analysis; able to provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published


  • Candidates should be graduate/post-graduate with strong academic records
  • 3-4 years’ experience of working in a demanding environment, preferably professional with relevant procurement experience at a consulting firm, within a procurement department or with procurement spend analytics
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Candidates should possess excellent analytics, communication and team skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Good team players and motivated individuals
  • Confidence in analyzing large amount of data and expertise in Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
  • At least good knowledge of Polish
