The Ecosystem Senior Specialist will build and manage ecosystems partnerships with startups, venture capital firms, etc. and manage bespoke and larger program visits to Bain’s Digital Hub in San Francisco on leading industry and digital innovators. The Hub hosts clients, Bain teams, and friends of Bain for interactive immersive sessions.


  • Build, manage and drive a vibrant ecosystem of partners (e.g., startups, VCs, etc.)
    • Play a top of funnel role in identifying startups and solutions that we may want to be working into not only our Digital solutions but also in our classic casework
    • Maintain relationships with the venture community as well as thought leaders and influencers that we may invite to our immersion sessions and/or ask to serve as experts in some of our casework
    • Manage the team that puts on our Executive Digital Immersion sessions as well as our bespoke immersion and Board treks
  • Design transformational experiences for clients that involve not just the ecosystem but also Bain Partners
    • Identify Bain Partners to participate in workshops and weigh-in on the agenda
    • Include the right ADAPT lab (i.e., design, development) to support the workshop
    • Think holistically about sets of activities to make clients’ visits to the Bay Area a success
  • Provide support to Partners and other members of the consulting staff on selling and serving activities
    • Help to develop proposal materials
  • Support new product development and deployment efforts as needed
    • The team is new so it is important to play a thought leadership role in shaping the set of offerings and developing the ‘playbook’ to support successful client delivery
  • Manage databases and other projects as needed


  • BA or equivalent undergraduate degree required with strong academic credentials; graduate degree would be a bonus
  • Ideal candidates will have 4+ years professional experience, including at least two at venture capital firm
  • Strong interpersonal skills as you will be interfacing across many areas and levels of Bain
  • Experience working in a strategy consulting environment a plus (Bain alumni ideal)
  • Ability to maintain a structured working style in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the practice and case teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills – ability to communicate with senior business executives both in person and over the phone
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Extensive network in Bay Area and broader AMERS venture community
  • Digital and tech expertise either from venture capital or start-up experience
  • Experience in compelling events/workshops
