Depending on the project, the position may take on responsibility for managing the overall project or managing specific elements including: clear definition of business requirements and functional specifications, development and execution of test plans, and coordination of implementation tasks.  To be successful, this role will need to develop a detailed understanding of business needs and then work with the development team to implement solutions.  This position requires a mix of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.  The role requires the ability to work both independently and with teams effectively.


  • Responsible for overall project management of assigned projects
    • Act as primary TSG contact for that project for smaller projects and in collaboration with a TSG PM for larger projects
    • Manage project using standard forms and templates
    • Build and maintain the workplan in collaboration with the customer and Development Manager
    • Ensure all TSG deliverables are complete before they are delivered to the customer
  • Work directly with the business to gather, analyze and synthesize requirements for system and process enhancements
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, process flows, and use cases
  • Collaborate with design team on wireframes and mock-ups
  • Work with Project Manager & Development Manager to break down the requirements into user stories
  • Provide clarification on specifications and business process for the development team (as required)
  • Build partnerships with the business functions involved in assigned projects
    • Learn the business’ needs and work proactively in process redesign
    • Foster positive relationship between the business and TSG
    • Identify and act upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
    • Anticipate business needs and propose solutions
    • At all stages of the project, ensure solution meets stated project objectives
  • Participate in end user testing
  • Help facilitate customer testing and usability sessions
  • Assist in the development and execution of data conversion and loading plans
  • Work with QA and the business to develop test plans
  • Keep all documentation, including specifications and test plans, up to date with changes and enhancements
  • Create documentation to facilitate implementation and training
  • Participate in user training and on-site implementation where required
  • Provide first level  implementation support with the customer project manager during the initial implementation period and on-going second level support post-launch
  • Produce effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and overall project related topics
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree required with a strong academic record

  • 2-3 years of business experience

  • Prior software project and/or Business Analyst experience preferred

  • Attention to detail and aptitude for analytical problem resolution

  • Ability to work independently and with teams on complex problems
  • Strong analytical skills and experience

  • Excellent logic and interpersonal skills with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs

  • High performance and standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to work well with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to quickly grasp new requirements, technologies, tools and concepts
